>> It's a boy. The Duchess of Cambridge had her third child with husband Prince William on Monday. The British royal couple's second son weighed eight pounds and seven ounces. And officials say mother and baby are doing well. As with her two previous pregnancies, Kate gave birth in the private Lindo Wing of London's St. Mary's Hospital.
The Dutchess emerged on the hospital steps early evening for a brief appearance with the new prince. Moments later the couple headed home with William driving after a few words to the assembled press pack. The new baby will be a brother to two year old Princess Charlotte and Prince George who's four and third in line to the throne.
No names have yet been revealed. But Albert, Arthur, Jack, and Fred are the bookmakers favorites.
