Their pieces on Harvey Weinstein helping spark a me too movement that toppled dozens more alleged abusers, Roy Moore among them. His Alabama Senate race severely hampered by reports he sexually harassed teenage girls when in his 30s. That reporting by The Washington Post earning the paper one of its two Pulitzers.
And in a separate section for Letters, Drama & Music, Kendrick Lamar made history by becoming the first First rap artist to win a Pulitzer. His album, Damn described by the awards committee as a collection of quote, affecting vignettes capturing the complexity of modern African American life.
