>> He's believed to be the sole survivor and a key leader of the Paris attackers. Salah Abdeslam standing before a French court on Friday over the deaths of 130 people in the shootings and suicide bombings that shook the French capital in November. He was the most wanted man in Europe until his capture in Brussels four months later, arrested just four days before the attacks in that city.
Investigators say they have linked him to suspects in both attacks claimed by Islamic State. Abdeslam is being held in solitary confinement at this prison outside Paris under constant surveillance. Now authorities say Friday's hearing, closed to the public, is the first step to some kind of justice.
