>> It's a terrible new line that we've crossed where we're going to decide, okay, we're gonna take this classified information and make it public, but we're gonna hide this classified information, so that people can be misled.>> The ten-page document authored by leading Democrat Adam Schiff reportedly shoots down assertions made in the GOP memo released Friday.
Namely, that the FBI used unverified information to obtain a warrant to surveil former Trump campaign advisor Carter Page. On Monday morning, President Trump ramping up his attacks against the Democrats. Singling out Schiff on Twitter, saying, quote, little Adam Schiff, who is desperate to run for higher office, is ones of the biggest liars and leakers in Washington, right up there with Comey, Warner, Brennan and Clapper!
Over the weekend, Trump praised the GOP memo, saying, quote, it totally vindicates him in the special counsel's Russia investigation. A claim challenged by members of his own party.>> I actually don't think it has any impact on the Russia probe for this reason.>> The memo has no impact on the Russia probe?
>> Not to me, it doesn't, and I was pretty integrally involved in the drafting of it.>> President Trump has five days to object if the House Intelligence Committee approves the new release.
