>> People in the Midwest are hunkering down for a major winter storm that's dumping heavy snow across the area and making travel treacherous. A massive storm system stretches from Montana to Minnesota, through Illinois, and as far south as Michigan. Some parts to get up to 14 inches of snow.
Schools have been closed and flights cancelled. Chicago residents are stocking up on the necessary supplies. The city is bracing for 6 to 12 inches of snow on Friday, with more expected over the weekend.
