>> A US House panel voting to release a classified memo on Monday. Republican says it shows bias against Donald Trump by the FBI and the Justice Department in seeking a warrant to conduct eavesdropping on Trump Campaign Adviser. By voting to release it the intelligence committee Republican majority ignored warnings from the Assistant Attorney General.
He says making the document public would be, quote, extraordinarily reckless without a security review. The memo could also escalate partisan clashes over Special Counselor Robert Mueller's probe into alleged Russian meddling in the election. The panels ranking democrat Adam Shift says the group also voted against the Democrat Report that under-cuts the GOP memo and rejected his call to allow the FBI to brief the house first.
>> Today this committee voted to put the President's personal interest perhaps their own political interest above the national interest in denying themselves even the ability to hear from the department and the FBI.>> One of the sources also says the memo accuses Deputy Attorney general Rod Rosenstein and Andrew McCabe of allowing pro-Democrat bias to skew the Russia investigation.
On Monday McCabe stepped down as Deputy FBI Director. Democrats have criticized the memo as highly misleading based on a selective use of highly classified material and a plot to discredit Mueller.>> Formal investigation
