>> Major U.S. casino conglomerate, Wynn Resorts, stock plunged over 10% Friday. Following a Wall Street Journal report detailing CEO Steve Wynn's alleged sexual misconduct. But in a statement to the media the casino mogul said, quote, the idea that I ever assaulted any woman is preposterous. The Wall Street Journal detailed one incident of a manicurist who claims she was forced to have sex with Steve Wynn shortly after the flagship Wynn Las Vegas opened in 2015.
The report citing people familiar with the matter said that she was later paid a $7.5 million settlement. It also detailed several other incidents of alleged sexual misconduct with employees. The Journal said it contacted over 150 people who work or had worked for Steven Wynn for the story. Reuters could not independently verify the allegations.
In a statement Friday, Steve Wynn said, quote, the instigation of these accusations is the continued work of my ex-wife, Elaine Wynn. With whom I am involved in a terrible and nasty lawsuit in which she is seeking a revised divorce settlement.
