>> A 6.4 magnitude earthquake has hit near the Taiwan City of Hualien. Trapping people under rubble and collapsing several buildings. Over a hundred people are known to be wounded, according to the island's government. There's been at least two deaths, but exact estimates are still coming in. It's also been reported that an entire hotel has been destroyed.
It happened just before midnight. Transport in and out of the city has been hampered. Authorities say, two bridges have suffered damage or been shut down. A highway has also been closed. Evacuated restaurant can be seen here. Residents fled with their food still steaming. A weaker quake had hit the region just two days prior.
