The only armed security guard on campus. Peterson can be seen running, he holds his radio as the gunfire continues. He rides a golf cart and exits near building 12.>> We're looking at the 1200 building.>> Inside, 19 year old, Nicholas Cruz, fires his AR-15 into classrooms, killing 14 students and three adults, outside, Peterson waits.
Peterson would later say he thought the shots were coming from outside the building. But Peterson was recorded giving orders not to enter the building.>> Do not approach the 12 or 1300 buildings. Stay at least 500 feet away at this point.>> He resigned a day after the massacre.
When asked what the deputy should have done, Sheriff Scott Israel said, gone in, addressed the killer, killed the killer.
