>> A secret document revealed Thursday reportedly shows a direct link between The Trump Organization and efforts to silence porn star Stormy Daniels. The Wall Street Journal reporting that Trump Organization lawyer, Jill Martin, filed a confidential arbitration demand just last month insisting Daniels stopp talking about her alleged affair with Trump in 2006.
Martin telling the paper she was acting on her own and that the company had no involvement. It's the latest twist in the ongoing saga. Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, claimed she was paid $130,000 to keep quiet about her alleged relationship with Trump just weeks before his election in 2016.
The Trump lawyer who brokered the deal, Michael Cohen, also says he acted alone and that he paid her out of his own pocket. Both Cohen and the White House deny any affair took place.>> Look, the president has addressed these directly and made very well clear that none of these allegations are true.
>> Clifford has since filed a legal complaint against Trump saying she was coerced into signing the non-disclosure agreement. She also offered to return the money to Trump's team this week in exchange for breaking her silence giving attorney Cohen a deadline of noon on Tuesday, which he ignored. On Wednesday, she launched a crowdfunding site to help pay her legal costs.
And waiting in the wings, an upcoming 60 Minutes interview with Clifford that has yet to air. Clifford could face a penalty of $1 million if she breaks her non-disclosure agreement.
