>> For Brexiters it's a symbol of taking back control. Britain is to get a brand spanking new blue passport after it quits the EU next year as the Leave Campaign demanded. But it will be made in France. According to the British company that makes the current burgundy ones, and just lost the contract.

Reuters' Costas Pitters reports.>> Well, it was one of the symbolic reasons that some Brexiters gave for why we should leave the EU and harkining back to the passport, the blue and gold passport, the people had from about 1920 to 1988. So it was very high profile. Of course, many of the people who care about that will presumably disappointed to learn that those passports will be made by a European company and that the British company has lost the contract to make them.
