>> Adult film star, Stormy Daniels, is suing Trump's personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, for defamation after Cohen cast doubt on her claim that she had an affair with Trump. The latest volley in the legal between Trump's lawyers and Daniels', birth name, Stephanie Clifford, comes just a day after 60 Minutes broadcast an interview in which she detailed her alleged affair with Trump.
>> He knows I'm telling the truth.>> And claimed to have been threatened to keep silent. Daniels telling 60 Minutes that in 2011, a man she didn't know confronted her.>> I was in a parking lot, going to a fitness class with my infant daughter and a guy walked up on me.
And said to me, leave Trump alone, forget the story. And then he leaned around and looked at my daughter. And said, that's a beautiful little girl, it'd be a shame if something happened to her mom, and then he was gone.>> Daniels' story initially gained traction, after the Wall Street Journal reported that Cohen paid her $130,000 to stay quiet.
She's now suing Trump to have that nondisclosure agreement declared invalid, because she says Trump never signed it. And on Monday, her lawyer added Cohen to her legal complaint, citing Cohen's statement on February 13th that the alleged affair never took place. Lawyers for Trump meanwhile are suing Daniels for $20 million for breaking what she calls the Hush Agreement.
The President did not respond to reporters asking whether he would watch the 60 Minutes segment and he hasn't directly commented on the allegations. But the White House has denied the affair took place. And on Monday, spokesman Rod Shaw said Trump doesn't think Daniels was threatened either.>> Well the President doesn't believe that any of the claims that Miss Daniels made last night in the interview are accurate.
>> Sunday's 60 Minutes interview was a blockbuster for CBS, drawing more than double the number of viewers from the previous week, and it was the second tell-all interview in a week involving claims of a Trump affair. Playboy model Karen McDougal told CNN about an alleged ten month long affair with him, beginning in 2006.
Trump would have been married to his wife Melania during both alleged relationships.
