>> Terrifying moments at a ski resort in Georgia all caught on video. Skiers were sent flying after this lift malfunctioned, and started going backwards at high speed. At least eight people were injured, including a pregnant woman from Sweden. No fatalities were reported. Skiers were being transported uphill at the Gudauri Ski Resort, when it suddenly began running backwards at double its normal speed.

Screams could be heard as horrified witnesses watched helplessly. Some skiers jumped off the lift. Others were violently flung from the crashing chairs. Local media is reporting a voltage fluctuation, or break issues may have caused this ski lift to malfunction.
