n sellers in Missouri are reporting an uptick in sales of the AR-15, the semiautomatic weapon reportedly used in last week's deadly shooting in Florida.>> In probably the last three days, we've saw a pretty marked increase in AR-15 sales. Three to five a week, and we're kinda going for the last three days, we've sold three to five a day.
>> Police allege that Nikolas Cruz opened fire on students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School near Fort Lauderdale using an AR-15 rifle. The shooting killed 17 people, prompting calls to outlaw the weapon. Although gun dealers say buyers are coming in droves.>> It's a younger dynamic than we've had in past events.
And I think that social media plays a lot to that younger dynamic.>> Sellers say prices for AR-15s range from around $500 to a couple thousand.>> It's a sporting rifle. Most people are doing, we emphasize a lot of sport shooting. We tell people, everybody, take up sport shooting.
You'll love the firearm industry much more.>> And dealers say there are plenty of guns available.>> Because there is no imminent legislation, tons of overstocked, tons of guns out there.
