>> Netflix has snatched one of the most prolific producers working in television today. Ryan Murphy, the creator of shows like Glee and Nip/Tuck, and American Horror Story, will move from 20th Century Fox TV to Netflix, under a mammoth deal valued as high as $300,000,000. Under the five year deal, which starts July 1st, Murphy will produce a new series and film exclusively for the online giants.
A score for Netflix, but a blow to Disney, where Murphy was courted to join. And where his long time studio home of Fox is poise to merge. Netflix has been steamrolling through the industry with one hit show after another, like the Crown.>> Shonda, looking great.>> Last August, the video streaming giant also signed on ABC producer Shonda Rhimes.
With hits like Grey's Anatomy and Scandal under her belt.
