I shooter in custody after gunshots were fired Monday in the U. S. capitol visitor center workers in the capital were told to take shelter and the White House was put on lockdown according to capitol police then they'll suspect pointed a gun at officers during a routine screening at the center an officer fired instructor struck back who was then taken to a hospital no officers were hurt but if he now bystanders suffered minor injuries capitol police said that suspect frequented the capitol grounds but said there was no reason to believe that this is anything more that a criminal act it capital it no longer on lockdown except for the area where the incident took place Congress is currently in respect with only a few lawmakers you know in Washington
